Noisy Truck Day

Hello everybody! This is The Daily Bone and I'm your exasperated doggie reporter
Chester L. W. Spaniel.

Wow, was there ever a lot of noise today! But we have to go back a couple days to find out why.

That was the day aliens arrived and tore the roof off the next door neighbor's house. The old roof shingles had to go into a really big dumpster that was parked in the driveway. Today a big truck came and picked up the gigantic thing full of heavy house shingles.

Ghostwriter was amazed they picked that big, heavy dumpster up without hitting the garage door, or making dents in the driveway! But what a lot of banging and clanging, whirring, screeching, and beeping it made!

Oh, and did I tell you that noisy neighbor dude moved out? You know, the guy across the street who always beeps the car horn and shouts for everyone to hurry up. It took two garbage trucks to pick up all the stuff he put on the curb. Here's one of them leaving the scene:

We have new neighbors there now, with a whole bunch of noisy kids instead! My esteemed colleague Joseph (Joey dog) Spaniel did a good job barking at the delivery truck that stopped by there later.

But that wasn't the end of the noise today! Dad decided to mow the lawn with his super annoying roaring dragon scary machine thing.

I must admit, I contributed a lot to the noise level by barking at everything. If you can't beat them, join them!

  4. A few years ago our area got hit with some gigantic hail and many homes had their roofs damaged. Almost every house on our street and in our development had to have the old wood shingles removed and new composite ones installed. It was a very noisy time here, lasting almost a whole year. We so understand the noise.

We hope your new neighbors will be nice and maybe have a few furries for you to meet.

  11. I would have loved to join in your barking fest. I did get to meet a cousin of mine today when some neighbors walked by with a young jack-gal...or should that be a Jill-gal...and they chatted and I tried to get good sniffs and maybe a bark of greeting, but she lunged at me and snarled too...and on my grass, through my fence...what a prissy pup, BOL! Good thing I didn't do a real meet and greet...and I think I would not want to have real cousins like that...oh well...
